New Community Provider Directory Quickly Connects Caseworkers to Services, Family Resources

While our agency has a wide array of service providers ready to help the children and families who come into our care, it can be tough for even the most-seasoned caseworker to remember all of the organizations and providers FCCS has contracts and contacts with.

So a collaborative effort between the Provider Services and the Evaluations teams has resulted in a searchable directory to make it easier to find what families need.

“We are very resource rich,” said Jennifer Andria, Associate Director of our Placement & Provider Services team. “It’s always been a struggle to keep track of what’s going on in the community.’

The Community Provider Directory allows caseworkers to take full advantage of those resources by having them all in one place to access.

“It’s a one stop shop to see what’s out in the community,” added Ms. Andria.

The portal includes a listing of more than 200 service providers that are contracted with FCCS as well as other community-based providers who serve families throughout Franklin County.

“Previously the information was being stored in an Excel spreadsheet that one person was responsible for keeping current. The list was very comprehensive and so I thought it could be useful to others if it were made available in a shared location,” said Cody Addison, Data Analytics Supervisor who worked on the directory.

“My goal was to provide a central location for staff to access the list of community providers we have available,” he said.

The filter function allows caseworkers to find the resources they are looking for within seconds. You can search for specific providers by zip code, the type of service they provide, insurance coverage, or more.

It also includes brochures and other print materials for more clarity on the services offered. Ms. Andria says this is especially helpful for new employees who aren’t familiar with our service providers.

Mr. Addison added that “In the new format it is much easier to sort and format the information to find what you’re looking for. I’m super excited that it is useful for staff, ultimately making finding resources for our youth and families easier.”

"We are a support area,” said Ms. Andria, noting that the Provider Services team is here to support FCCS employees by working to develop more relations to offer diverse supports from our community.

Combined with our recent Provider Fairs, her team is working to promote a true Ecosystem of Community Partnerships across the diverse field of services to wrap-around our families and address their true needs - no matter their size, income, neighborhood, or background.

There are plans in the near future to have the directory accessible on the FCCSnet intranet. For now, member of Team FCCS can click here to access the Community Provider Directory
